This page explains which cookies haviera.com uses, what each type is for, and how you can control them. It sits alongside our privacy policy, which covers personal data more broadly.

What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device. It lets the site remember things between page loads and between visits — what is in your cart, whether you are signed in, which currency you are viewing. Similar technologies such as pixels, local storage and tags do comparable things, and everything on this page applies to them too.

Which cookies we use

Strictly necessary — always on

The store cannot work without these, so they are not optional. They keep your cart contents between pages, carry you securely through checkout, remember your region and currency, keep you signed in if you have an account, and protect against fraudulent orders. They are set by Shopify, our e-commerce platform, and by our payment providers.

Analytics — optional

These tell us how many people visit, which pages they read, and where they leave. We use it to see which fixtures people compare and where our own pages are confusing. The data is aggregated; we do not use it to identify individual visitors.

Marketing and advertising — optional

These let us measure whether an advert led to a visit or an order, and they allow advertising partners to show you our fixtures on other websites. This is the category that some U.S. state laws describe as "sharing" or "targeted advertising".

Functional — optional

These remember preferences that are convenient but not essential, such as recently viewed products.

How to control cookies

You have three routes, and they work independently of each other:

  • Your privacy choices. To opt out of the sharing of your personal information for targeted advertising, use our Your Privacy Choices page. This covers the marketing category above.
  • Your browser. Every major browser can block or delete cookies, either entirely or per site. Look under Settings → Privacy. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break the cart and checkout.
  • Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as an opt-out request for the sharing of personal information.

We do not use pre-checked consent boxes. Where a consent banner is shown, declining the optional categories leaves the store fully usable — only the strictly necessary cookies remain.

Cookies set by others

Some cookies come from services we rely on rather than from us directly: Shopify for the storefront and checkout, our payment providers for card processing and fraud prevention, and our advertising and analytics partners. Those parties act under their own privacy terms as well as ours.

How long they last

Session cookies disappear when you close the browser. Persistent cookies remain for a set period — typically from a few days to two years, depending on their purpose. You can delete any of them at any time through your browser.

Changes and questions

If we change which cookies we use, we update this page. Questions about cookies or about any data we hold: support@haviera.com. We reply within one business day.
